Mr. Andras Kemeny, FRCS (MD)
Consultant Neurosurgeon.
Andras Kemeny was born on 25th April 1953. He graduated “Summa
Cum Laude” from Semmelweis University medical school
in Budapest.
During the university years he was involved with research
projects in computer modelling, Neurophysiology and EEG pattern
analysis.
As a postgraduate he worked
in the field of Neuro – Anatomy before joining the Neurolosugical
Training Program at the National Institute of Neurosurgery,
Budapest.
His training continued in England from 1982.
Apart from a three-year
period in St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London and Old
Church Hospital, Romford as a Senior Registrar, he worked
mainly in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology at
the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.
He received a postgraduate
MD from the University of Sheffield. He was appointed here
as Consultant Neurosurgeon and Honorary Senior Lecturer
His main interests are
epilepsy surgery, steroetactic radio surgery and surgery for
pain.
